one cup has a slight chip (shown in pic) but still quite useable
The outside has a pretty design of Victorian styled scrollwork and lettering reading simply BUTTER

It dates to the 1880's and features an intricate, blooming hibiscus flower in blue transferware with hand painted shades of red (which give a purple ish hue over the blue), taupe and gold.
