We upgraded the firmware on existing network switches, removed poor patching between cabinets and re-patched all existing patch panels to the switches.

This required out of hours work so the customer had no downtime.  6am start on a Sunday morning, right through the night.  24 hours work and 3 extra hours onsite to deal with any issues as people logged in.  Pictures below show the patch leads between cabinets and the switches awaiting new patch cables.  The customer was supplied with a patching document to aid with any changes that might be required in the future.  This allowed all changes to be made on the switches and removed the need for re-patching.
